- Year In Review -

Last year was a big year for us! It marked our 3rd anniversary as a company, and many other important milestones. Scroll down to see how we did things in 2019!

We turned 3 years old!

In May of 2016, Chris and Mary started Bellatorum with just the two of them providing land services to various oil and gas
companies as well as one main mineral acquisitions client. In May of 2019, Bellatorum turned three with almost $30MM in assets under management and a
full staff of experienced land managers and other oil and gas professionals. We’ve come a long way and we are primed to go even further. We’re
rapidly approaching our 4th birthday and have even greater things in store for 2020.

We've grown our team...

The Bellatorum family grew even more this last year. We started the year off with 7 employees and are now at 16. We’ve strategically built a team that can service all aspects of the oil & gas royalties and mineral rights industry, and with a few upcoming additions, we are primed to tackle our 2020 goals head-on.

We built a new home.

In 2019, we opened the doors to our new Bellatorum Headquarters building, entirely designed and owned by us and to fit our needs. Complete with full gym, basketball court, and a fully featured conference room.

Events and Corporate Training

Family Office Super Summit

The team headed to Miami for our first, but not last, Family Office Super Summit. Our long term strategy to be the premier mineral rights company includes branching out into markets that may not traditionally be associated with the oil and gas space. This summit was the perfect place to continue that initiative as we connected with professionals and companies and gained valuable insight into various markets.

White Oak Energy Golf Tournament

We supported a good cause by participating in the annual “White Oak Gives Back” golf tournament. The event supports some great local Houston charities such as Emergency Aid Coalition, The Periwinkle Foundation, Be An Angel, and many more. We’ll definitely be back again this year!

Red Shirt Fridays

You may have noticed the red shirts, and there’s a good reason that we wear them. Every Friday we participate in national red shirt Friday to show support for deployed service members. The acronym “RED” stands for remember every deployed. If you’re interested, you can learn more HERE.

Industry Honors and Recognitions

Hart Energy 40 under 40

We were excited to have our CEO recognized as one of Hart Energy’s 2019 Forty Under 40 honorees. Making this list is all about pushing forward towards innovation even when met with resistance, and we’re all proud to be a part of this team and to have a leader that is pushing both us as a company and the industry into exciting new territory.

25 Veteran's in Energy

We’ve built our company on ethos and moral guidelines dictated by a collective experience of military service, so we were more excited to be recognized on the annual “25 Veteran’s in Energy” list. We’re dedicated to continuing our support for this country’s service members and this recognition serves as a reminder of that cause.

Oil and Gas Council Events

Bellatorum Resources’ CEO and Founder, Chris Bentley, spoke on panels discussing the current state of the mineral rights industry at both the North America Assembly in Houston and the Finance Assembly in New York City. He was even given the unique opportunity to ring the closing bell at the NYSE.

What's in store for 2020?

We’ll continue to grow the team even more, by adding three new full-time positions: a Geologist, a Reservoir Engineer,
and an oil and gas accountant. On the business front, we aim to increase our assets under management 4X and branch out into other specific areas of opportunity.
Lastly, but most importantly, we aim to donate at least $5MM to causes that support veterans’ transitions from active duty to civilian life.
We’ll use our charity “The Bellatorum Foundation” to help facilitate these efforts and aim to expand it’s reach as much as possible.
We’re looking forward to the new year and the many exciting challenges it will inevitably bring with it.
