Aragorn serves as Bellatorum’s COO, bringing his expertise in operations and data analytics to optimize workflow and processes to ensure Bellatorum reaches its aim of becoming the country’s premier mineral services firm. He will leverage his 20 years of experience in operations, engineering, and team leadership to help accelerate growth at both the individual and team levels.

Aragorn grew up on the West Coast and divided his time between California and Washington State, where he graduated from high school in 1990. He enlisted in the Army before graduation and spent 3 years on Active duty. After completing Chemical Corp and Airborne training he was stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. Though Colorado became home he spent the bulk of his active service downrange at the National Training Center in Ft. Irwin, CA. After active duty, he dedicated an additional five years to the Colorado National Guard. Aragorn was a Non-Commissioned Officer, achieving the rank of Sargeant/ E-5.

After leaving active duty and attending university, Aragorn went to work at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). He began as an engineer and worked his way up to director of business transformation, responsible for executing on multiple large-scale operational projects. His successes include the construction of multimillion-dollar facilities, the establishment of cost savings and lean process initiatives, facility and BU turnarounds, the implementation of a billion-dollar ERP and active roles in multiple M&A initiatives, including the $1.8 billion acquisition of Neovia. Aragorn’s greatest joy during his 20-year tenure at ADM was his interactions and mentoring of its future leaders. Through direct interactions, he fostered the development of dozens of regional and director-level managers. These leaders have gone on to become the backbone of the organization. During his time at ADM Aragorn won numerous accolades including two Values in Action (VIA) Awards.

Aragorn Earned his MBA from Rice University’s Jesse Jones Graduate School of Business in the Executive Program, where he served his cohort as Class Representative and was honored by his peers with the Mike A Wright Leadership Award. Aragorn earned his BS in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining from the Colorado School of Mines, where he served his class as Sr. Class Vice President.

Aragorn and Anny have been married for 10 years. They are the parents of young twins, Santiago and Gabriela. Aragorn has three older sons: Garrett, Jacob and Aidan. Aragorn enjoys traveling, hiking and camping with his family. He is a certified Rescue Diver and has logged more than 300 dives. When weather forces him indoors you can find him woodworking in his small woodshop.
